Matthew 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
The calling to be with Christ does not end at spending just some time with Him, it is a calling to remain. The instructions in this opening text are, “take my yoke”, “learn of me”, that is, “be attached to me”, “learn to be as I am”.
To take His yoke means to accept His mantle, an agreement to be His disciple. A disciple does not just learn what His master does, he learns to be like him. Don’t experience God and let go, remain with Him!
Talk to God: Father, help me be yoked to you and to learn from you in Jesus name, amen.

Mark 3:14 “And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,”
This opening text reveals God’s dealing with everyone who will operate on His terms: the ordination to ‘be’ and to ‘do’. Here, twelve were called into service but in a certain order they were first ordained to be with Jesus, that is, to be groomed to be who He calls them to be.
Then comes the aspect of doing, see how the Bible says that ‘He might’, meaning if the being is not fulfilled, there could be no doing. Beloved, you need to be who God calls you to be at His standard if you would do exploits. Be with Him!
Talk to God: Father, teach me to yield my will, my commitment and life to you in Jesus name, amen.
There are many believers who spent their energy fighting their battle the wrong way and when they win, they learned the victory is useless. When you start seeing your colleague or neighbor as your enemy, then, something is wrong with your faith. Of a truth, there are people who are difficult to work with or live next to but that does not mean you start fighting them physically.
Christ gave us a potent strategy to fight the enemy. Bless those who curse you and love your neighbour like yourself. Cursing or strategizing how to hurt back those who hurt us will only do our relationship with God more damage. When our ways please God, those who suppose to be blocking our progress will be the one championing our way to the top.
Don’t allow bitterness or hatred to inform your relationship with people, rather live peaceably and lovingly with all people!

Acts 17:28 “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
Wisdom is applying knowledge effectively. Whereas it is important to know whom God calls us, it is more important that we know how to be just that. As this text clearly states, our being can only exist in and with God, just like there is no river without a source.
God certainly invested so much into you to make you what He wants you to be. When you realize this, you need to make conscious and deliberate efforts towards living up to that standard. Be who God calls you!
Talk to God: Dear Lord, give me enablement to live up to your standard for me in Jesus name, amen.

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
Should the righteous worry? Not if they are truly the righteous. God says ‘no condemnation’, who then brings it? His redemption cures condemnation! God’s will for us is to have life, even more abundantly (John 10:10). Glory!
If you keep having the horrors of condemnation, check and be sure you have truly been redeemed, if yes, stop worrying and accept God’s acceptance, if no, cry to Him for redemption today!
Talk to God: Oh Lord, help me to understand your plan of faultless life and experience in Jesus name, amen.
